WHAT THE RESEARCH FOUND

In a nine-month placebo-controlled trial, curcumin improved beta-cell function and prevented progression from prediabetes to type 2 diabetes in the curcumin group.

WHO, WHAT & HOW LONG

A placebo-controlled study followed 240 adults with prediabetes for nine months and measured progression to type 2 diabetes alongside beta-cell function and insulin resistance.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR ROB’S CHOICE

These studies concern diagnosed metabolic conditions and specific research preparations. Longevity was not studied for glucose control, and a 1,000 mg curcumin amount does not establish equivalence, diabetes prevention or suitability alongside an individual’s treatment.

The doses above describe research, not personal dosing instructions. Ingredient studies do not diagnose symptoms or establish medical suitability. Discuss medicines, existing conditions and treatment decisions with an appropriate healthcare professional.
