CURCUMIN / INGREDIENT RESEARCH

Painful mouth inflammation during cancer treatment

Potential benefit studied: Reduced oral-mucositis severity, pain or burning

Supporting research

Small randomized human trials of mouthwash and nanomicelle capsules · Reviewed 9 September 2026

This is cancer research, not a product treatment claim. These studies do not establish that Longevity or Mobility prevents, treats or cures cancer.

WHAT THE RESEARCH FOUND

Randomized human trials found that curcumin preparations reduced the severity, pain and burning of oral mucositis during chemotherapy or radiotherapy.

WHO, WHAT & HOW LONG

One trial gave 50 patients 80mg nanomicelle curcumin twice daily or placebo for seven weeks. Another randomized 45 patients to mouthwash, nanocapsules or placebo; 37 completed treatment, with assessments over three weeks.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR ROB’S CHOICE

Longevity is not the mouthwash or nanomicelle preparation studied, and its finished formula has not demonstrated this benefit. Mouth pain during cancer treatment needs the oncology team's assessment and an agreed supportive-care plan.

The doses above describe research, not personal dosing instructions. Ingredient studies do not diagnose symptoms or establish medical suitability. Discuss medicines, existing conditions and treatment decisions with an appropriate healthcare professional.
