WHAT THE RESEARCH FOUND

A placebo-controlled human trial found that turmeric reduced dialysis-related itching scores and improved an inflammation marker.

WHO, WHAT & HOW LONG

One double-blind trial randomized 100 haemodialysis patients with persistent itching to turmeric or placebo. Researchers compared itching scores and biochemical measurements, including high-sensitivity C-reactive protein, before and after the study.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR ROB’S CHOICE

Turmeric used in this dialysis study is not interchangeable with Longevity’s final curcumin ingredient. The finished product was not tested, and its effectiveness or suitability in people with advanced kidney disease remains unknown.

The doses above describe research, not personal dosing instructions. Ingredient studies do not diagnose symptoms or establish medical suitability. Discuss medicines, existing conditions and treatment decisions with an appropriate healthcare professional.
