WHAT THE RESEARCH FOUND

A placebo-controlled trial found a reduction in a non-invasive liver-fat measurement with curcumin, accompanied by changes in weight and some metabolic markers. The results concern simple fatty liver over six months. They do not establish reversal of liver scarring, prevention of cirrhosis or lasting improvements in liver health.

WHO, WHAT & HOW LONG

Eighty adults with nonalcoholic simple fatty liver received 500 mg daily curcumin or placebo for 24 weeks. Researchers measured liver fat using FibroTouch-based controlled attenuation parameters, alongside body composition and metabolic blood tests.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR ROB’S CHOICE

This disease-specific research does not establish Longevity as a liver product. Its extract and absorption profile have not been matched to the trial, and neither effectiveness nor suitability for someone with fatty liver is established.

The doses above describe research, not personal dosing instructions. Ingredient studies do not diagnose symptoms or establish medical suitability. Discuss medicines, existing conditions and treatment decisions with an appropriate healthcare professional.
