CURCUMIN / INGREDIENT RESEARCH

Radiation-related skin irritation

Potential benefit studied: Reduced radiation-dermatitis severity

Supporting research

Randomized human trial · Reviewed 9 September 2026

This is cancer research, not a product treatment claim. These studies do not establish that Longevity or Mobility prevents, treats or cures cancer.

WHAT THE RESEARCH FOUND

A randomized human trial found that oral curcumin reduced the severity of radiation dermatitis in breast-cancer patients.

WHO, WHAT & HOW LONG

A randomized trial gave 30 breast-cancer patients 6 g daily curcumin or placebo during radiotherapy and measured dermatitis severity.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR ROB’S CHOICE

Neither trial tested Longevity, and its final 1,000 mg daily curcumin amount differs from the studied regimen. These findings do not support a retail-product radiation-protection claim. Skin care during radiotherapy should follow the oncology team's instructions.

The doses above describe research, not personal dosing instructions. Ingredient studies do not diagnose symptoms or establish medical suitability. Discuss medicines, existing conditions and treatment decisions with an appropriate healthcare professional.
